One of the easiest routes to making use of your degree in the offshore wind industry is to join the graduate programmes offered by many of the companies in the sector. Each year many of the corporate players in the industry offer a graduate intake programme. This usually involves an application window in the last few months of the year with start dates at the beginning of the following year. This means that if you miss the opportunity in one year then it will come around again the following year. You can also sign up with many of them to receive job alerts straight to your inbox.
Timescales for these programmes can vary but they are usually from 18-24 months depending on the company.
Examples of the type of companies offering such programmes range from the major offshore wind development companies to many of the corporate players in the wider supply chain.
Some of the offshore wind developers who run graduate programmes include:
The above links are to their current or previous graduate programmes. Many of the above companies are involved in delivering projects in Scotland and the UK but they are also looking for graduates for their wider international teams.
Many of the larger corporate companies along with a number of the turbine manufacturers, Tier 1 and Tier 2 supply chain companies (companies who bid on the largest of the contract packages to develop offshore wind farms) also have graduate intake programmes. Use the links below to check out details of current or past graduate programmes as these tend to be cyclical intakes and come around on an annual basis.
