Supply Chain Opportunities in the Hull & Humber Region

25 May 2016

Do you want to benefit from the growing offshore wind industry around the East Coast of England?

This free event is run by Energy Development Group (EDG) from Hull, who will explain the scope of the offshore wind opportunities in the Hull & Humber region. You will learn how collaboration and investment can help open the door to these opportunities, and help to grow your business.

Now that Siemens has chosen to build their offshore wind blade manufacturing and turbine assembly facilities in Hull, many supply chain companies are choosing to locate in the region.

This event will explore opportunities for Scotland-based companies in the energy supply chain to get involved in offshore wind (at various tiers of the supply chain) and build relationships with Hull and Humber companies.

These opportunities include all aspects of:

  • Manufacturing and operations (inc components, tooling, design, test equipment, R&D, etc);
  • Installation and operations of the turbines (inc servicing, maintenance and repairs);
  • Servicing, maintenance and repair of components; and
  • Support operations (i.e. ship repair, spares repairs support, etc)
